CMYUK to exhibit at The Print Show with JWEI JCUT digital cutting innovation, 4th generation Canon Colorado UVgel technology, and Fiery Prep-it print & cut software

CMYUK has announced that it will be attending The Print Show,  running between September 17-19th at the NEC in Birmingham.

Located directly opposite the entrance to Hall 17, the CMYUK stand (AO1) will feature the Canon Colorado M5W UVgel LED printer, JWEI JCUT 1625 digital cutting table, and Fiery Prep-it software.

 In addition to CMYUK product experts, specialists from Sheppex Asset Finance, who are well versed in capital investments for wide format print production, will be available to provide guidance on favourable financing options.

Canon M Series

CMYUK will be demonstrating the Canon Colorado M5W, from Canon’s new M-Series printer series, offering high productivity, unrivalled range of applications with amazing dimensional stability and no odour.  At 1.6m wide, this represents the 4th generation of the Canon Colorado underpinned by Canon’s own UV Gel technology. Launched in March last year, the M-series offers a modular, configurable upgrade platform that enables customers to add new features to their base models as and when required – all of which can be done in the field. For example, the M3 model with output speeds of 111 sq. m per hour can be upgraded to an M5 model that offers 159 sq. m per hour. Additional upgrades include white ink, FLXfinish+ for gloss and matt or a combination of the two in a single pass, double-sided printing, and a magnetic media kit.

JWEI JCUT digital cutting

The JWEI JCUT digital cutting tables offer accuracy, reliability, and an array of superior features at an investment level that has previously never been attainable. Available in three sizes – 1600mm x 2500mm, 2100mm x 3100mm, 3200mm x 3000mm, the largest sized table supports super-wide digital printed textile cutting production in both the mid-range and premium industrial printer markets.

Ambitious in its reach,  the JWEI JCUT has an unparalleled feature set that includes an automatic feeding conveyor, 1800kW liquid cooled router for powerful milling, Auto Tool Changer (ATC), Universal Cutting Tool (UCT), Kiss Cut Tool (KCT), Electric Oscillating Tool (EOT), Crease Wheel Tool (CWT), V-Cut Tool (VCT), and a modularised cutting head that accommodates up to 3 sets of tool combinations simultaneously. Speed performance from this table is formidable too,  running up to 1200mm per second, the equivalent of 75m per minute, with a maximum acceleration point of 1G.

Fiery Prep-it

Throughout the show, CMYUK will be demonstrating Fiery Prep-it software for the prep, layout, and automated production of print-for-cut jobs, heralding  a new era in pre-press efficiency and material savings. This package  saves hours of manual prepress time with fast and easy cut path and layout preparation.  Compared to manual methods, it cuts down on setup time by 90% and reduces material consumption by an average of 33%.

One of Prep-it’s most compelling features is its universal compatibility. It seamlessly connects to any RIP, printer, digital cutter, or router capable of processing PDF files. This interoperability bridges the gap between various equipment brands, allowing businesses to leverage their existing equipment to its maximum potential and significantly enhance production efficiency.
