New high yield soft furnishing and décor possibilities for all HP Latex owners
CMYUK has been appointed the exclusive distributor in the UK and Ireland of the HP accredited range of DuraVibe® fabrics.
The DuraVibe® Latex brand has been specifically engineered to work with HP Latex inks. It provides Latex owners with even greater versatility to capitalise on high yield trends in personalisation applications for home interiors, decorative homewares and promotional textiles with little or no addition to their existing equipment investment.
Applications
DuraVibe® latex fabrics can be used for a vast majority of home interiors applications including upholstery, curtains, drapery, cushions, beanbags, throws, lampshades, kitchen textiles and home wares, attractive promotional items and practical accessories such as tote bags.
The DuraVibe® Range
The CMYUK DuraVibe® range consists of 5 different fabric options, which offer limitless application opportunities. Each fabric has its own properties that lend themselves to specific products, and includes the following:
Warp Satin – A smooth 100% heavy weight lustrous weave cotton, suitable for cushions, tote bags, throws, tablecloths and runners.
Leenane – A 94% cotton and 4% linen mix, medium textured weave perfect for cushions and pillows, tote bags, lampshades, canvas and tapestry applications.
Fine Twill – A smooth 100% cotton, medium weight twill weave perfect for cushions, beanbags, tablecloth, runners, promotional tea towels and tote bags.
Pheonix – A luxurious look, plain weave pure polyester, which is flame retardant, just right for cushions, beanbags as well as tote bags.
Leenane Blockout – A cotton-linen mix textile designed to block out any light show-through, ideal for curtains, drapes, blinds and backdrops, or anywhere where light management is required.
Heat Fixation
DuraVibe® Latex fabrics offer intense colour vibrancy, and when fixed with a heat press after printing offer very high crock fastness – the amount of ink transferred from a fabric when rubbing occurs – making them highly suitable for soft furnishings and home interiors.
The need for a heat press relies solely on the end application. Latex owners who wish to output decorative applications such as curtains, wall hangings and promotional items, which don’t require frequent washing or aren’t used in high traffic areas, do not need further heat fixation, allowing them to offer new products and services immediately.
CMYUK offers a number of heat fixation solutions with flexible finance packages. Its highly successful Consumable Supported Asset Finance programme (CSAF), which allows customers’ monthly material spend to be offset against equipment purchases, is a means by which many businesses can also derive extra cost savings.
